Eric Hill Nissan - Prize Review from Baton Rouge, Louisiana

The old bait and switch game. I was told that I won a prize only to show up and get passed from sales person to sales person six times with no sign of an instant win prize. All they kept asking was how much money you have to put down on the car you like. They are not concerned with the consumer's needs. They are sharks looking for blood $$$. Stay away if you don't know how to swim. I'll never set foot in that place again.

You know they're in the business of selling cars, right? If you're not interested in buying a new car, WTF would you even go there?

B/c YOU wanted something for FREE!

When there were requirements to obtain it, you got pissed? WTF would you go WASTE their time if you're not gonna buy something?

Poor business practices

My husband and I had been without a car for almost two years and had enough money in savings to purchase a car in full. On August 17, we went looking for cars. When we drove up, we were greeted immediately. We were asked what we were looking for and what our spending range was. We gave that information... something used and no more than $10,000. We had already looked at several other locations and had not been happy with what we'd seen. We were told she had the perfect car for us and essentially refused to show us anything else, claiming there wasn't anything else in our price range. We like the car and the price is right. So we head in and start the paperwork, which shouldn't have taken very long seeing as we were paying cash. Only, she kept coming back with apologies about telling us the car was $10,000 (actually a little less than that)... the sticker price was higher and we questioned her about it but she said that the dealership had a sales quota to meet for the day so they were lowering the prices to get the sales needed. The car was actually $12,000 and she shows us the paperwork supposedly attached to the car to prove she had no choice but to sell it to us for more than she quoted. Only the paperwork wasn't actually for the car we had looked at. The mileage on it was significantly more and the color was wrong and some other things we knew about the car wasn't matching what was on this sheet. I don't think we were supposed to notice that. They eventually agree to take some amount off for some *** that we didn't request because we were about to walk out. The salesperson tells us that we are to come back in two weeks to pick up the plate. Only when we go back in two weeks, the plate isn't there. We should have been told that when the plate arrived, they would send out a post card. We get the post card in the mail a couple of weeks later and I notice that my last name is spelled wrong on the title. I assume, correctly, that the misspelling was because they used the title to get the name and address for the post card. I show it to the person who handed me the plate and the title and she brings it to someone else and then brings it back to me and says to keep the plate and the paperwork and they would fix it and send me a corrected one. This was September 17. In the mean time, my registration from the DMV comes in with the same misspelling. In October, when I realize it's been at least a month since I'd picked up the plate and still hadn't gotten a corrected title, I called the dealership and asked to speak to someone who deals with the titles. They transferred me and no one answered. So she takes my name and number. No one calls me back. Today, November 27, over two months since I picked up the plate, I called and asked to speak to the supervisor of the person who does the titles. I get put on hold and I assume transferred. No one answers. Again, she takes my name and number. I tell her I'll be available to take calls after 1 p.m. No one has called me back. I told her I was pissed off.

Might try to let people understand what you are complaining about. Learning to spell would be a good start as well.

Eric Hill Nissan forged my name on finance contract!

Updated by user Jun 08, 2012

Hi, At this time the matter has not been resolved. I have now involved law enforcement.

My next step is the Federal system for a violation of the Federal Truth and Lending. This consumer victimization needs to stop.

At some point I will be notifying my local state representative. We need legislation and then maybe this unethical behavior will stop.

Original review Jun 04, 2012
I purchased a vehicle from Eric Hill Nissan in 2011. LoJack was added to my vehicle. I was told the system was free. After attempting to trade the vehicle in recently, I discovered that the numbers did not agree. I contacted NMAC and requested a copy of my contract. The signatures on the contract are "NOT" mine. Mr. Hill has yet to return my call or his general manager. I have made a formal complaint with LA New Car Commissioner, LA State Police, BBB and NMAC. Their only concern is to move a unit at any cost. Consumers be ware.

I just wanted to take the opportunity to do a brief update. At this time I am still working with law enforcement with regards to the forgery.

Please know that the Louisiana Motor Vehicle Commission governs the dealerships.

Their website is lmvc.la.gov. The dealer's responses are a joke and will be dealt with in the proper venue......stay tuned!

This is the B:) part to what I said earlier. Car sales people have a bad enough name.

They should try to not live up to that bad name but to do better than what is thought about them. This was my first car buying experience at a car dealership (Eric Hill Nissan). This was the worse experience I believe could have been possible. This was due to the all and out repeated false representations.

There is not enough time to express my absolute dissatisfaction with Eric Hill Nissan as a whole or it's sales staff. No one should want or need to sell anything that badly to where all basic integrity is loss just to make a sale.

Guest

This is very believable because I too was falsely represented in the entrance of car purchase contract. This situation is an almost mirrored image of what I too am going through up to but not limited to unanswered or returned phone calls. Have you been able to resolve your situation and if so do you have ideas for me?

Eric Hill Nissan is great!!!!!

I took my Maxima in for a diagnostic review; and the service people were outstanding!!!!! They got me into the shop with no time at all, and did a thorough review, even having the lead mechanic explain my situation in terms I can understand. Additionally, all the people -- including Eric Hill -- were extremely friendly. I have owned Nissans since 1985, when I purchased my first Maxima. Since then I've owned five Maximas. The service and respect I recieved was top notch. A great experience. I encourage anyone with a Nissan vehicle to take it to Eric Hill. ---- Charles Jackson, New Orleans

Right car Right price!!!!!

I just purchased a 2012 Nissan Maxima from Eric Hill Nissan and my experience was was wonderful and painless. When I first sat down with my salesman I explained to him what I wanted to accomplish at this dealership and he listened very well. I was able to pick out a car and test drive it and he answered any questions I may have had about the car once I was approved i signed my paper work quickly and my car was washed and tank filled with gas and Im very happy. Thanks Eric Hill Nissan you have my business for life.

Eric hill Nissan Stoll my $6000.00

I bought a car 8months ago from them. The guy Robert charge my deal committed some kind of fraud to the bank. They fired Robert and the sale man. The bank wanted them to buy the car back from them so after they paid off the car they came and took my car. I talked to the Store GM Latif he told me I'm not the only1 who took a lost. I should be happy I got a car paid off in my credit report. So I'm out of my down payment my monthly payments and a vehicle.

Eric Hill Nissan lies, lies lies!

Eric Hill Nissan and their employees lie, they promised and even signed a we promise to me for a spoiler on my new Juke. Now they tell me because I wanted more money for my trade in, that I will not be getting the spoiler. At no time was the mentioned during the negiotiations. I believe this is called in lawyers terms as misreprisentation. The one thing that I wanted was a spoiler, I would not have purchased this vehicle had I known that I would not be one. Do not buy from Eric Hill Nissan they are dishonest, downright liars!

I had a terrible experience with Eric hill Nissan. They lied.

I pointed to the Nissan xterra accessory card and pointed to the hood protector and window wind deflectors and said if you throw these in the deal, I'll but the xterra. I waited for a call, none came. I was on the phone constantly waiting for someone to answer. Lame excuses.

Then I brought it in to get the parts put on, only to find that they put aftermarket, non-Nissan parts on my new vehicle. That's all they said was sorry in a rude way. I'll never ever recommend Eric Hill Nissan to anybody! Ever.

That do NOT care about their customers.

For a few bucks I could have been happy, but they are "pennywise and dollar foolish". They don't know what they're doing.

Worst customer service ever

Do not go to Eric Hill Nissan. There is something wrong with the people at this place. When I've called no one will answer the phone after the initial receptionist, I've left two voicemails with no call back. The third time, I called back for part dept. AGAIN and they would not price a simple part without me giving them my VIN NUMBER!! Who needs a Vin number to give out a price on a part??!! I cannot understand how a company can run when no one will answer a phone in a department or return any calls!

Eric Hill Nissan SUCKS!!!

The employees do not know what they are doing, I should have known this when I drove up to check out some vehicles since 5-6 of them were standing outside having an obnoxious conversation. They do not cut you any type of deal and overprice their vehicles TREMENDOUSLY!!! I was quoted $3,000 less by a different employee and when i told my sales man he looked at me like i was crazy and said that it was an incorrect price. Seriously? This place is a joke, stay away and go to a professional dealership. l l l l

Eric Hill Nissan Sucks!!!!!!!!

11-5-2010 Eric Hill Nissan still sucks and I believe they're practicing deceptive shady business there. I am a very unsatisfied customer. I am going to make a huge formal complaint to the owner of the company to try and get resolution. Please do not walk into Eric Hill Nissan without first having a lawyer present! I plan to spend my Friday's at Eric Hill Nissan and walking around the lot discouraging customers from buying or at least "sharing" my experience with them and to suggest they have a lawyer present when negotiating with Eric Hill Nissan.

Eric Hill Nissan's salesman are disrectful of women PERIOD!!! Not only did the guy flirt with me, but he did it while my husband was in the restroom.

The service people were also inconsiderate as they allowed me to sit an wait for hours then come to a conclusion that they could not do the work.

My car is under warranty and you cannot do the work????? SHADY PRACTICING IN PROGRESS.....BEWARE!!!!!!!!!
